Regent’s Newest Cruise Ship Will Feature a 24-Hour Sports Deck With Pickleball, Putting Green and More

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has revealed details of the sports and recreation offerings aboard its upcoming flagship, the Seven Seas Prestige, which is set to debut in December 2026 as the largest ship in the fleet.

The centrepiece of the ship’s outdoor amenity offering is the Solara sports deck, situated on deck 14 and designed to blend seamlessly with the vessel’s upscale interior aesthetic. Rather than the conventional sports netting typically found on cruise ship recreation decks, the space features wood framing, planters and dedicated relaxation areas — an approach that reflects Regent’s positioning at the luxury end of the cruise market.

The deck will be open around the clock and illuminated by LED lighting from dusk, making it usable across all hours of the day and evening.

What the sports deck includes

The Solara sports deck will offer an 18-hole putting green, a pickleball and padel court, and a dedicated yoga area — the latter representing a first for the Regent fleet. A covered pavilion will house digital shuffleboard tables, also a fleet first, alongside more casual games including Baggo beanbag toss, ping pong, chess and mini bowling.

The combination of competitive court sports, precision games and wellness space positions the deck as a multi-purpose recreation area rather than a single-focus facility.

Pool deck and dining

One level below on deck 12, the Solara pool deck will feature a 48-by-29-foot main pool flanked by two whirlpools. The area will also include the Solara Pool Grill, an upscale outdoor dining option, alongside a dedicated bar.

The bigger picture

The Seven Seas Prestige is the first vessel in Regent’s newly established Prestige class and will be the largest ship the line has ever operated. It is the first of three Prestige-class ships currently planned, with the second and third scheduled to debut in 2030 and 2033 respectively.

The December launch will mark the beginning of what Regent is positioning as a generational expansion of its fleet, with each new vessel in the class expected to build on the design and amenity standards set by the Prestige.
